Finally, a permanent solution for excessive underarm sweat, hair, and odor.

If you’ve tried everything - clinical strength deodorants, odor-blocking shirts, Botox® injections in the underarms - and still struggle with underarm sweat, hair, and odor, it’s time to do a happy dance.

miraDry® is a revolutionary FDA-cleared non-surgical treatment that permanently reduces underarm sweat, odor, and hair. Most patients see results after just one treatment, and experience little to no downtime!

HOW IT WORKS

The miraDry System uses thermal energy that targets and eliminates the sweat and odor glands in your underarm. Once those glands are eliminated, they do not grow back. Goodbye, sweat stains!

ABOUT THE TREATMENT

miraDry is an easy treatment that can be completed in a physician's office in as little as one hour.

You’ll be instructed to shave both underarms four to six days before the procedure and not to shave after that so some hair is visible—this will help identify the area to be treated. At your appointment, your provider will inject local anesthesia into both armpits to numb the area as well as to “inflate” your skin and provide a cushion between your sweat glands and the heating device. For many patients, this is often the most painful part of the procedure.

The upside, however, is that it allows for a very comfortable procedure, with very low risk of injuring underlying nerves. The effectiveness of the treatment is also increased, because higher energies can be used more safely.

The actual procedure takes less than an hour, but we advise patients to add 20–30 minutes for numbing and preparation. That includes having your armpits marked with a template that resembles a tattoo, which is used as a guide when the heat is applied. As the device is passed over the area, it will gently suction the skin in order to bring the sweat glands closer to the surface and make them more accessible to the heat.

During the treatment, you’ll feel suction but not pain. The miraDry system simultaneously cools the surface of the skin as the deeper sweat-gland layer is being heated, so the procedure is very tolerable.
